Think Tank A New Elected Member of Board of the Economic Forum Deutschland
Peter Roessger, Business Development Director at TES Electronic Solutions, was elected member of board of the Economic Forum Deutschland. But what is this think tank exactly doing?
The Economic Forum Deutschland gem. e. V. is a free, independent, sector and cross-party think tank for Germany, focusing on the future of the country and the EU. Since 2002, their members and supporters develop innovative concepts for a growing society in a globalized world. To mention a few of the numerous members from the industry, finance and media sector: AMD, Accenture, Bank of America, brand eins, Cisco, Deutsche Bank, Axel Springer, FAZ, IBM, Microsoft, Porsche, Tchibo, T-Systems, TU-Darmstardt and many others.
Here are a few examples of the innovations which are supported by the Economic Forum:
- Development of Africars – a car for less developed countries, which is not only transportation, but also provides energy for households.
- The expansion of hotspots for the use of mobile phones, laptops and other mobile devices in public places.
- Training to develop and run businesses on American universities such as Harvard and cooperation between TU Darmstadt and Princeton University.
- Renewable energy since 2003 in solar, wind, biomass, biochemical and bio-fuel industries.
Taking over his honorary duties Roessger said: “I’m proud to support the targets of the Economic Forum, like a close exchange between economy and politics, revitalizing the democratic values in Germany, and strengthening leadership in Germany with my work”. The feedback out of the membership is 100% positive: “I have seen Dr. Roessger positive and committed. He is a very good board extension for the EFD. I am pleased that with his statement, definition, discussion, realization, he serves in a triad which is compatible with mine: define, measure, decide. Thus he must indeed be a good man!” states one of the members.
In 2005 Roessger received the Leadership Award Automotive from the organization for his innovative work in the area of human machine interfaces and is closely connected to it since then.
